Technical Investing Absolute Return Fund

The Technical Investing Absolute Return Fund is a unit trust with a minimum investment of $500,000.

We are quite thematic in our investment approach; identifying themes and trends through the use of both fundamental and technical analysis.  Our investment strategy relies heavily on technical analysis as a timing tool for investing - with our buy and sell decisions generally triggered by analysis of the respective price charts.

We believe that the market moves in trends and cycles, that human behaviour repeats over time, and that you can track and measure this through good technical analysis.

Our objective is to achieve a superior, absolute rate of investment return in all types of market conditions. To do this, we can invest both domestically and internationally, primarily in listed companies, using long and short positions.

The fund’s investment guidelines are flexible and its constitution allows the manager to use securities, options, derivatives and leverage, with the aim of increasing returns and/or reducing risk.

Fees are based on performance only; there are no base management fees. Performance fees are 25% of net positive performance and are charged monthly in arrears.

We consider that investors in the Fund should have an investment time frame of 3 or more years.
